Take a break from online chat when you need one
Sometimes you want fewer messages in your day. You can take a break without turning it into a big announcement. A few account checks make it easier to leave things how you want them.
Decide what kind of break you want
You might want to stop checking messages for a weekend. You might want your profile to stop appearing in discovery. Those are separate choices. Open My Profile and review the visibility controls if you want to change how people find you.
Making a profile undiscoverable does not recall earlier messages or copies of anything you have shared. If you previously moved a conversation to another app, review that account separately. Changing something on SextingZone cannot manage contact taking place elsewhere.
Review optional notifications
If you have enabled return emails or browser alerts, check your choices on the Alerts page. Reducing reminders can help if you want to stop opening the site out of habit. Also check any notification settings on external apps where you have continued conversations.
Let a regular contact know
You can tell a regular contact that you will be away. “I’m taking a little time off chat, so replies will be slow” gives them enough context. You do not need to describe everything that is happening in your life.
Keep a way back into your account
Before signing out, make sure you know your username and password. If you use a recovery email, check that you can access the inbox. A browser session is convenient while it lasts, but it is a poor substitute for knowing how to sign in again.
If you use a shared device, sign out fully. You can return through Sign in when you want to check your account again. Review your bio then too, especially if it promises a reply schedule you no longer keep.
If you want to leave permanently
Account deletion is available through the account options in My Profile. Read the Privacy Policy for information about data handling and retention before deciding. For an account problem you cannot resolve there, use the contact page.
If you are new and simply want to take a look at the setup, you can Join SextingZone at age 18 or over. You can leave your profile unpublished while you decide whether you want to become discoverable.
